About the event
Join us for the Footsteps to Freedom Walking Tour, a unique and free opportunity to explore history and nature on a guided two-mile walk through Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, led by Linda Harris of the Harriet Tubman Museum and Education Center. Scheduled for September 13th and 14th, each walk begins promptly at 10 AM, with participants meeting at the Harriet Tubman Visitor's Center at 9:45 AM. The tour will last until about 12 PM, followed by the Footsteps to Freedom Festival, celebrating local, regional, and national historic culture and arts. Although the walks are free, registration is required.
