Join the Harriet Tubman Museum and Educational Center in honoring the legacy of Harriet Tubman with our 4th Annual Christmas Eve Walk with Harriet. This powerful event commemorates Tubman’s third rescue mission, which took place on Christmas Eve in 1854. She helped three of her brothers as well as other freedom seekers escape from bondage during that fateful return.

The walk begins at Mount Pleasant Cemetery with a moving musical presentation to set the tone for this reflective journey. From there, participants will walk to Choptank Landing. As we reach the landing, we will hold a lotus flower release ceremony, symbolizing hope and honoring all those who suffered under the institution of slavery. The walk will cover about 6.5 miles.
