50th Anniversary of the Harriet Tubman Museum

We are delighted to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Harriet Tubman Museum and Educational Center. In 1972, a grass roots effort of concerned citizens in Cambridge, Md came together to form the Harriet Tubman Organization. The organization purchased the building on Race Street that would become the home of the 1st museum in honor of Harriet Tubman in Dorchester County! We proudly continue to honor the great legacy of Harriet Tubman by offering walking history tours, lectures, book readings and signings, crafts and a music series. Come out and help us celebrate!
